Because the North Atlantic is home to them, they know it better than anyone else; they know Iceland, the Faroes and the Shetland Islands like the backs of their hands. Even though they do their best to convey the feeling by working harder and knowing more about our destinations than everyone else, the absolute pleasure of the Smyril Line experience cannot be adequately described. It has to be experienced.
In 2003 the Norrøna is handed over to Smyril Line on the 7th April and enters into service on the 10th April.
“The Norrøna entered into service on April 2003. The vessel has a capacity of carrying 1 482 passengers and carry up to 800 cars. The Norrøna is 36 000GT, 164 metres long, 30 metres wide and can reach a cruising speed of 21 mph.”
